These days, most Industrial Companies have some sort of Electricity Monitoring and/or Control System in place.  Some systems are designed to monitoring electricity use at a single facility, while others have a multi-site or enterprise wide focus.

Over the years, the need for more information has increased along with the price of electricity.  Indeed, electricity has moved from the realm of overhead expense into a high priority manageable cost.
